EAST OŅATI SL-Gi-10 At the foot of Aloņa (8.5 km - simple - 2:00´)

Classic route which offers beautiful views over the town of Oņati. The route begins in the historic quarter and passes through the town's most rural districts, offering hikers wonderful glimpses of both natural and ethnographic treasures. Points of interest: Zumeltzegi Tower (Middle Ages) and the Larraņa, Olabarrieta and Murgia districts.

WEST OŅATI PR-Gi-107 Route around the Garagaltza district (6.5 km - simple - 2:00´)

Route which offers an interesting view over the Oņati valley. The route leaves from the town centre and runs past a series of farmhouses in the Garagaltza district, along several old paths and roads that still survive in the area. Points of interest: historic quarter of Oņati, Garagaltza district, Usako recreational area.

ARAOTZ PR-Gi-102 The water path ( 11.5 km - medium - 4:30´)

This route, which runs through six of Araotz's neighbourhoods, takes us to an intensely rural world, offering a series of stunning views. After visiting the magic cave of Aitzulo, we arrive at the Araozta reservoir and from there the path leads on to the Santa Cruz Hermitage. Near Andarto Txiki we turn around again towards Araotz, and enter an area punctuated by farmhouses. Points of interest: San Miguel de Araotz Parish Church, Santa Cruz Hermitage, house in which General Elorza was born, etc.

ARRIKRUTZ PR-Gi-103 The smugglers' route (8.5 km - medium - 3:30´)

Extremely beautiful route which leads us first along a section of the old road to Calahorra, before heading off towards the Madina district. The route links part of the Arantzazu and Araotz districts, as well as passing through the beautiful Jaturabe area. Points of interest: Arrikrutz, Calahorra Road, Jaturabe, etc.

KORTAKOGAIN PR-Gi-104 Past the Arantzazu farmhouses (5.5 km - simple - 1:30´)

Route which passes through most of the Arantzazu neighbourhood and which takes us first through an intensely rural area and later around all the hidden enclaves of Okola and Iritegi. After passing a historical mill, the path leads us back to where we started, passing over a canal. Points of interest: 18th century Arrola farmhouse, Okola hollow, Akuegi bridge and reservoir, etc.

ARANTZAZU PR-Gi-105 The hidden road (7 km - simple - 2:30´)

Route which shows us the darkest side of Arantzazu. After walking down the ravine of the River Arantzazu and crossing the Iturrigorri area, the path takes us around the summit of Arriona, through a stunningly beautiful forest and two of the area's wide open pasturelands. Points of interest: Arantzazu basilica, rocky summit of Gazteluaitz, Arantzazu gorge, etc.

ARRASATE-ARANTZAZU PR-Gi- 106 Pilgrim route (16 km - demanding - 5:00´)

Beginning in Mondragķn and ending in Arantzazu, this is the longest and most demanding of the routes. It is a classic pilgrim route which passes through lands belonging to three municipalities in quick succession: Arrasate, Aretxabaleta and Oņati. The route leads us through the Bedoņa and Larriņo districts, the Urkulu reservoir, the Urruxola district, the slopes of Orkatzategi, the surprising Jaturabe valley and the old Arrikrutz and Gesaltza inns, before finally arriving in Arantzazu along the old road. Points of interest: Santa Eulalia Parish Church (Bedoņa), Orkatzategi crags, Gesaltza-Arrikrutz galleries, etc.
